    Cilantro Mint Basil Sauce

    Cilantro Mint Basil Sauce packs incredible flavor, and is so perfect on your favorite proteins! Throw all of the fresh ingredients into a blender or food processor and it's ready in mere minutes!

    This simple herb sauce brings such brightness and flavor to grilled pork tenderloin, chicken, seafood, beef, and vegetarian dishes. You're going to love how easy it is to make!

    Fresh basil, cilantro, mint, and cilantro leaves on top of a wooden cutting board, along with a jalapeno pepper, fresh lime halves, and garlic cloves.

    Ingredients for the cilantro mint basil sauce:

    Simply throw all of these fresh ingredients into a small food processor or blender and purée until smooth. That's it! No, really, that's it!

    • 1 cup fresh cilantro
    • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
    • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
    • 2 garlic cloves
    • 1 medium jalapeño pepper
    • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
    • Juice from ½ lime
    • 2 tablespoons water
    • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    • ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

    Look at all of these beautiful, fresh ingredients! Fresh herbs don't have to go to waste when you can use them up in this versatile sauce!

    I stored my fresh herb sauce in a canning jar, which should last in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks. You can also freeze this sauce and defrost when ready to use.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, thick stems removed
    • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
    • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
    • 2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
    • 1 medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
    • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
    • Juice from ½ lime
    • 2 tablespoons water
    • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    • ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

    Instructions

    1. Combine cilantro, mint, basil, garlic, jalapeño pepper, lime juice, and water in a small food processor or blender. Pulse until fully blended, scraping down the mixture if necessary.
    2. Drizzle in the olive oil and purée until smooth. Season with the salt and pepper, pulsing a few times. Taste for seasoning.
    3. Serve on top of your favorite proteins!
