Ingredients you'll need to make this peanut sauce

Hands down, this is The Best Asian Peanut Sauce and so easy to assemble. You probably already have most of these ingredients in your pantry!

    • Creamy peanut butter
    • Low-sodium chicken broth
    • Low-sodium soy sauce
    • Rice vinegar
    • Light coconut milk
    • Fresh ginger
    • Fresh garlic
    • Lime juice
    • Honey
    • Red chili flakes
three ginger options on a board including ginger paste, fresh ginger bulb, and frozen ginger cubes

There are several options when using ginger. Peeled and grated fresh ginger bulb is always the best. But in a pinch, I've used ginger from a tube (available in the produce section), as well as frozen cubes that I get at Trader Joe's.

    Tips & Tricks

    • If your peanut sauce is too thick, simply thin it out with some additional coconut milk. Add a little at a time.
    • To make this sauce gluten-free, substitute the soy sauce for gluten-free soy sauce or reduced-sodium tamari.
    • This sauce is great for serving with satay chicken skewers, salmon skewers and tofu, or as a dipping sauce for Vietnamese spring rolls.
    • You can store this peanut sauce in the refrigerator in a tight container for up to a week. You can also freeze this sauce in a ziplock baggie for up to three months. Defrost in the microwave or stove-top.
